Year after year, JP’s Real World Waves prove to be the ideal choice for a wide range of wave conditions worldwide. Magazines chose the board as the test winner and attested that the JP Real World Waves are the only wide body boards that also have the direct rail-to-rail feeling that otherwise only much narrower Radical Wave boards have.
What’s new in 2009? Overall handling and performance have been improved. The boards should be easier to control, especially when things get critical – for example, when you head at full throttle through the bottom turn towards the lip. Due to the narrower outline, the turn radius can be adjusted at any time to be prepared for the radical cut back or aerial. The additionally rounded outline between the foot straps compensates for the reduced gliding surface due to the narrower width. Together with the thinner and slimmer rear, they should allow the driver to turn tighter even at the lip.
Miriam Kristen from JP: “The Real World Waves make it possible to maintain a fluid surfing style even in less than ideal conditions, with radical cut backs, bottom turns and other wave maneuvers. The soft tucked-under edge in the middle of the board merges into a sharp, thin edge at the tail, providing both comfort and support – as needed. They do not place any special demands on the rider, but offer great waveriding potential. True real world waveboards that feel at home in all conditions – and the best choice for non-perfect conditions.”
The JP Real World Waves are suitable for experts to wave beginners who are looking for boards for all conditions up to mast-high waves.
